How do prospects find you with SEO keywords?

Search engine optimization requires careful optimization, particularly in today's competitive environment. If you want to succeed, you need to practice whit hat SEO techniques that Google will approve. Without these practices and effective keyword integration, you'll find your competitors gaining steam instead.

Where to Use Keywords in Your SEO Campaign

Once you have gathered a good list of keywords, there are several key places to use them on your website. Make sure you balance them out effectively, with high-quality original content that people are likely to read.

Website URLS

One ideal place for a keyword is in the URL of the designated page on which it will appear. For a service page about "electronic part repair services" your subdomain would include that keyword in the hyphenated form of "electronic part repair services."

Website Titles

You may sacrifice certain branding opportunities in some cases if your website title doesn't include your company name, but you can include keywords in the website's main domain and site title.

Meta Data

This is what people will first see in Google when they perform a search for the products or services you offer. As a result, you'll want to ensure that these include ranking keywords that will get you on the first page of search results. This includes a title and description with relevant keywords.

Page Content

You also need to include keywords throughout page content, at least a few naturally occurring instances per keyword in the body. If a keyword is awkwardly phrased or appears stuffed into the content, Google may punish your website.

Headers

Last but not least, you should include keywords in the headers on the page, including the H1 (the main title) and subheaders such as H2s, H3s, etc.

Using keywords strategically in these places, you can help significantly boost your company's SEO campaign.
